mr. randall k. alsman is vice president of marketing, sr. portfolio manager, and a member of the board of directors and investment policy committee at donaldson capital management. prior to joining donaldson, alsman had a 35-year career in private industry. he graduated from ball state university in 1973 with a bachelor of science in accounting, and joined the audit staff of price waterhouse (now pricewaterhousecoopers.)
Following Price Waterhouse, Alsman joined the finance staff at Mead Johnson Nutritionals, then a $2 billion wholly-owned subsidiary of Bristol-Myers-Squibb in evansville, indiana. During more than 31 years with Mead Johnson and Bristol-Myers-Squibb, he was promoted through a number of positions of increasing responsibility in various domestic and international capacities including two years at Bristol's New York headquarters. In September, 2000, Alsman was made President of Mead Johnson U.S., also with responsibility for global Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Research & Development, information Technology, and Legal. In August of 2007, Alsman retired from Bristol-Myers Squibb in Princeton, New Jersey, as Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and Managed Care for the $8 billion U.S. Pharmaceutical Group.
alsman serves as president of the evansville redevelopment commission, an organization committed to promoting growth and economic vitality of businesses in the greater evansville area. during 2012-17, alsman was a member of the university of evansville board of visitors, and served as chair from 2014-17.

dr. roger b. beck is distinguished professor emeritus of history at eastern illinois university in charleston, illinois, where he taught african history and world history.
beck is a 1969 graduate of the university of evansville where he received bachelor of arts in social studies education. he also earned an ma in social studies education, ms in history, and ph.d. in history from indiana university. he taught at the secondary level for seven years and has held positions at the american school of paris, nichimachi international school in tokyo, and the american community school in london. he also taught for a year at the university of cape town. he is the recipient of two fulbright awards and a number of teaching and research awards.
beck is a co-author of a college world history text, a history of world societies, and a high school world history text, world history – patterns of interaction. he is also the author of the history of south africa, which is used as a textbook at many colleges in the united states and abroad. beck has published more than a hundred articles, chapters in books, and book reviews. he continues to serve on the fiddick lecture series advisory board. in 2011, he received the university of evansville medal of honor. in 2018, beck received the pioneers in world history award from the world history association. the award recognizes exceptional scholarly contributions toward advancing the field of world history.

curtis l. (curt) begle is president of berry global’s health, hygiene, and specialties division – a $3.0 billion global business within berry.
joining in 1999, begle has spent his entire career with berry global. rising through various positions of increasing responsibility, he served as president of berry’s rigid closed top division from 2009 to 2014, and president of the engineered materials division from 2014 through 2018. he holds a bachelor of science and bachelor of arts from the university of evansville and a m.b.a. from the university of southern indiana.
begle’s industry involvement includes serving on the board of directors for the flexible packaging association since 2016, now serving as the executive chairman of the fpa. in addition to his industry contributions, begle is an active member on the board of directors for the southwest indiana chamber of commerce, deaconess health systems, and the university of evansville board of visitors, as well serving as the 2016 campaign chair for united way of southwestern indiana.

mr. c. edward brown is the chief executive officer of the iowa clinic, p.c. and the iowa clinic management company, l.l.c., a multispecialty group consisting of over 225 physicians and healthcare providers of 42 specialties located in des moines. the clinic is one of des moines larger employers with over 1,050 employees. they have outreach facilities in nearly a dozen communities throughout the state.
brown was instrumental in the in the formation of the iowa clinic. since its initial inception, the group has been recognized regionally and nationally for its many achievements.
prior to joining the iowa clinic, brown has been a senior executive in the managed care industry for over 10 years, with positions at humana, inc., and cigna health plans.
brown is a graduate of the university of evansville where he received bachelor of science in nursing with an emphasis in business administration. he also received a master’s in health administration from washington university in st. louis. he enjoys being active in national healthcare leadership activities and in public policy; he currently serves on numerous business, community and charitable boards. brown is the past-chair of the american medical group association. he is a fellow of the american college of healthcare executives with over 30 years of experience in executive and senior levels of healthcare management.

brigadier general ondra berry is the senior vice president of organizational culture and employee engagement at the mgm resorts international, a global leader in hospitality with a portfolio of destination resort brands. in addition, he is commander of nevada air national guard responsible for formulating, developing and coordinating all policies, programs and plans affecting more than 1,100 personnel and the c-130 and mq-1/9, and distributed common ground station weapons systems. berry is an internationally recognized leader and author who for over 25 years has been a champion of diversity, organizational change and personal growth. he is a dynamic speaker who has motivated thousands in all 54 states, territories, the district of columbia, and internationally.
prior to joining mgm resorts, berry was a consultant, co-founder and partner of guardian quest where he played a primary role in development of policy, strategy and procedures for nationwide diversity and inclusion implementation strategies for over 100,000 members of the u.s. national guard, private and public organizations, and many non-profits. his efforts have been recognized with many awards and decorations from several services in the united states military. berry received numerous awards and commendations throughout his 25 year career with the reno police including department officer of the year, air national guard airman of the year, and the naacp community award.
berry earned a bachelor of art degree in secondary education and teaching from the university of evansville, and a master’s degree in public administration from the university of nevada at reno. he is a member of the board of no opportunity wasted, a college preparatory program for first generation college students, and serves in several leadership positions with the second baptist church of reno, nv.

mr. d. forrest brumbaugh is a partner at the international law firm of norton rose fulbright in their dallas office. he represents large institutional investors, including state pension plans, and university endowments, in connection with their private equity, alternative and other investment programs. brumbaugh also represents both public and private companies in securities offerings and compliance matters, as well as in connection with mergers and acquisitions.
brumbaugh graduated from the university of evansville with a degree in political science, and he received a juris doctor degree from the university of virginia.
during his time at ue, brumbaugh was active in the sigma alpha epsilon fraternity, orientation leaders, inter-fraternity council, and the student foundation. in addition, he was president of the student association and vice president of student congress. since graduation, he has served three terms as a member the alumni board of directors and one, three-year term as the alumni-elected member of the board of trustees.

mr. wilfred c. bussing iii graduated from the university of evansville with a bachelor of science degree in communication. he received his ma, mba, and juris doctor degrees from the university of notre dame and practices law in the evansville area with expertise in estate planning. bussing and his family own the evansville otters baseball team.
bussing served as a director of the ue alumni association, and in 2003, he was honored by the ue alumni association with the edie bates volunteer service award.

ms. henrietta chubb currently serves as chair of the advisory council at harlaxton college, united kingdom and is trustee of harlaxton college. joining the student life committee in 2000, she provided leadership as chair from 2009 to 2016.
henrietta graduated in 1992 from the university of northumbria at newcastle with a bachelor of sciences (hons) in applied consumer sciences and received a masters (msc) in conservation sciences from de montfort university, leicester, uk in 2000.
henrietta has had a varied career working in shareholder and investor relations and the company secretariat following the privatization of the east midlands electricity board and then working in the pet food industry within biochemistry, management, and public relations. henrietta has also had experience managing a farming business.
henrietta is justice of the peace (magistrate). she is a trustee of cleanup uk and chairs the parish council and is a member of the fundraising group for coston church and also for rainbows children’s hospice in loughborough. in 2018 henrietta became one of the first women to be elected to the court of the worshipful company of grocers whose history dates back to 1180.
she is married to david and they have twins, harry and libby born in 2000.

mr. bradley e. coomer graduated from the university of evansville with a bachelor of science in accounting. he’s currently vice president, strategic relationship management at john hancock financial services, indianapolis. prior to this position, he was a senior relationship manager at oneamerica-indianapolis in their retirement services division.

(tmmk) since 2018, elkington oversees a $7 billion operation, which employs nearly 8,000 people, and in a year, can produce as many as 550,000 vehicles and more than 600,000 engines. tmmk is toyota’s largest production facility globally, producing the camry, avalon, lexus es 350 (including hybrid versions of all three), and rav4 hybrid; plus, four-cylinder and v6 engines, in georgetown, kentucky.
elkington joined tmmk in january 2017 as senior vice president, overseeing the plant’s manufacturing and administrative functions. prior to this role, she served as general manager, production control division at toyota motor corporation’s (tmc) global headquarters in toyota city, japan, supporting toyota’s 53 manufacturing plants worldwide.
elkington began her career with toyota in 1998 in princeton, indiana, as an assembly engineering specialist. by 2013, she held the position of manufacturing vice president at tmmi.

goebel serves as a director of a number of local organizations including old national bancorp, south central communications corporation, and community natural gas company, inc. he is also a director of indiana-american water company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of american water works company, the largest publically traded water utility in the country.
goebel is actively involved in the community and is currently vice president and treasurer of the evansville regional business committee, inc., and a director of southwest indiana business leaders roundtable on early childhood development. in addition, goebel is a member of the indiana academy and actively supports early childhood education in evansville and serves as a member of the southwest indiana business roundtable on early childhood.

harkness graduated from the university of evansville with a bachelor of science in finance. he later received an mba from indiana university. harkness delivered the keynote address to ue’s 2006 graduating seniors and received an honorary doctor of business administration. in 2011, the alumni association awarded him the distinguished alumni award.

bill johnson is president and ceo of farm credit mid-america, a $25 billion agricultural cooperative serving over 100,000 farmers, agribusinesses, and rural residents in indiana, ohio, kentucky, and tennessee. he has over 35 years of financial services experience within the farm credit system and has held leadership roles in farm credit entities across the country including the midwest, pacific northwest, and new england. johnson came to farm credit mid-america in march 2011 from agribank in st. paul, mn where he served as executive vice president-chief risk and information officer. he grew up on a small farm in southern indiana and worked in his family’s farm supply business. johnson received a bachelor’s of science degree in finance from the university of evansville, a masters of business administration from gonzaga university and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at vanderbilt university. johnson also serves as chair of the farm credit system president’s planning committee and is a member of the business practices committee. he is a board member of denver based farm credit council services and indianapolis based agrinovus indiana. he also serves on the board of visitors for the university of evansville and is active at other universities in speaking and advisory roles.

mr. paul w. jones is a graduate of the university of evansville with a degree in engineering. he is the retired chairman and ceo of a.o. smith corporation in milwaukee, wisconsin, and he is past chairman and ceo of u.s. can corporation in chicago, illinois, and ceo of greenfield industries, inc. in augusta, georgia. prior to that, jones enjoyed a long and successful career in various capacities with general electric. he is currently non-executive chairman of rexnord corporation and is also a member of the board of directors of a.o. smith corp. in october 2010, jones delivered a lecture, “lessons learned,” as part of the kern family foundation speaker series at the university of evansville.
jones has always devoted time to community activities. currently, he is a trustee of the wisconsin nature conservancy. in addition, he is a co-founder of the milwaukee water council.

mr. robert g. jones is the chairman of old national bancorp. prior to joining old national, jones served for 25 years at keycorp. he is a graduate of ashland university with a ba in political science and business administration.
During his time as chairman and chief executive of Old National, the company has received national recognition. In 2013 and 2012, Old National was the only bank in the United States to be recognized as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by the prestigious Ethisphere Institute. Also in 2012, the company received the Employee Volunteer Program of the Year Award from Volunteer Match. In 2010, Old National received the Award Excellence for Corporate Engagement by the Points of Light Foundation (co-recipients were AT&T, Intel, and Campbell Soup Company.)
jones served on the federal reserve bank of st. louis board of directors, where he is a member of its executive committee and chairman of the audit committee. he also was a member of the vectren board of directors.

former indiana governor mitch daniels presented jones with the select sagamore of the wabash award and the distinguished hoosier award. he has been inducted into the evansville regional business hall of fame and the evansville vanderburgh school corporation hall of fame and honored by the tri-state multiple sclerosis association as a spirit award recipient and by the buffalo trace council with its distinguished citizen award. jones received the james l. orr award from the ymca of southwest indiana and was recognized by the university of evansville delta sigma pi business fraternity as its business leader of the year. he was recognized by indiana association of cities and towns with its larry a. conrad civic service award, and by leadership evansville with its visionary award. jones is a member of the indiana academy, was honored by the southwest indiana chamber of commerce as its richard a. schlottman business leader of the year, and ashland university recognized jones as its alumni of the year.

mr. kevin r. koch is president and chief executive officer of koch enterprises, inc. (kei) located in evansville, indiana. kei is a holding company that operates six distinct businesses primarily serving the automotive industry and employs approximately 2,500 team members. prior to being named president, koch served in various capacities within the kei family of companies beginning in 1999. these roles included president and chief executive officer of brake supply company and several management positions at gibbs die casting corporation based in henderson, kentucky. prior to joining kei, he worked at electronic data systems (now hewlett-packard), ford motor company, and westinghouse (now siemens) in the areas of marketing, purchasing and engineering, respectively.
koch currently serves on the for-profit company boards of koch enterprises and its subsidiaries and jasper engines and transmissions.

ms. mckenna lewis is a native of lawrenceburg, kentucky. she graduated from the university of evansville in may of 2019 with a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in marketing. in addition to her role with the board of trustees, mckenna currently serves on the alumni association board of directors.
during the 2018-19 academic year, mckenna served as president of the student government association. in addition, she was heavily engaged in her sorority, chi omega, and a member of the business fraternity, delta sigma pi. mckenna was an active orientation leader, admission and harlaxton ambassador, and member of the ue leadership academy.
in the fall of 2017, mckenna studied at harlaxton college, an experience that she describes as life-changing. during her time at harlaxton she gave back to a family in portugal through habitat for humanity and continued this form of giving through her participation of the university’s first annual barn blitz.
mckenna is currently licensed as a mortgage loan originator in the state of kentucky and has worked for republic state mortgage company since october of 2019. she feels privileged to continue contributing to the community that raised her. in her spare time, mckenna enjoys volunteering with little league’s challenger league baseball program in lawrenceburg, dedicating time to the distinguished young women program on both a local and state level, serving in her church as a preschool choir director, stage managing for the lawrenceburg children’s theater, and creating marketing content for the lawrenceburg academy of performing arts.

sara miller is the southern region ceo and a member of old national’s executive leadership group. the southern region includes evansville, jasper and vincennes markets.
miller began her career with old national in 1996 as a business development officer. she was promoted to vice president, commercial lending in 1999 and to vice president, commercial relationship executive in 2006. in 2008, she was promoted to senior vice president, commercial banking executive and in 2012 she was promoted to executive vice president.
miller holds a bachelor of science in business administration from the university of evansville. she earned the risk management association's crc designation in 2006. miller was honored by old national’s executive leadership team as the 2011 larry dunigan leader of the year and was named the athena leadership award recipient by the southwestern indiana chamber of commerce in 2016.

Christopher M. Pietruszkiewicz is the 24th president of university of evansville and professor in the Department of Law, Politics & Society. He began his academic career at George Mason University School of Law, where he was an adjunct professor of law. He joined the faculty of the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center where he served as the J.Y. Sanders Professor of Law and vice chancellor for Business and Financial Affairs. For the last six years he served as dean and professor of law of the Stetson University College of Law.
prior to entering academia, pietruszkiewicz served as a trial attorney in the tax division of the united states department of justice where he received the outstanding attorney award. he was an attorney/adviser in the united states department of education where he received the assistant secretary’s award for team distinction and the deputy secretary’s award for service.
pietruszkiewicz was a member of the standards reviews committee of the american bar association (aba) section of legal education and admissions to the bar and previously served as a member of the aba’s data policy and collection committee, including a term as chair. he served as president of the southeastern association of law schools, as deputy corporate compliance officer/secretary, and as a member of the board of trustees.
pietruszkiewicz was also a member of the audit committee of the law school admissions council, a member of the nominating committee, chair of the investment committee, a liaison to the finance and legal affairs committees, and a member of the board of trustees.
in addition, he served on the florida supreme court commission on professionalism, the legal education committee of the florida bar vision 2016 commission, the florida bar special committee on legal education, and a member of the board of trustees of the greater tampa chamber of commerce.
an expert in tax law, pietruszkiewicz co-authored treatises – mastering income tax and corporate reorganizations, published numerous law review articles, presented widely on the subject, and held various leadership positions with the aba’s section of taxation, including vice chair of the individual income tax committee and special features editor of aba’s newsquarterly.
pietruszkiewicz was an ncaa and high school basketball official and worked with special olympics virginia and special olympics louisiana. he earned a bachelor of science degree at the university of scranton, a j.d. at loyola university new orleans college of law, and a master of laws (ll.m.) in taxation at georgetown university law center in washington, dc.

rev. larry a. rascoe, sr. has been pastor of nazarene missionary baptist church in evansville, indiana, since 1989. the church has grown under his leadership with a membership of 1,200. he received a bachelor of science in religious studies from oakland city university.
rascoe is very active in the evansville community and has received the prestigious jefferson award for outstanding community and public service from the american institute for public service and the distinguished citizen award from former indiana governor frank o’bannon. rascoe is the founder of a faith-based preparatory school, joshua academy, which accepts students aged 3 years old through 6th grade. in addition, he is the co-developer of emporia shopping center which brought a much-needed grocery, shopping and banking outlet to the central city.

after more than 20 years of working with businesses, elected officials, and stakeholders, ms. sally g. rideout established rideout public affairs, inc., in 2013 to serve her clients with her unique skillset and perspective. rideout earned a bachelor of science degree in political science from the university of evansville.
rideout started her career when she became the youngest woman ever elected to the indiana house of representatives when she defeated the speaker of the house. after leaving office, rideout spent several years as vice president for government relations at the chamber of commerce of southwestern indiana where she worked to advance community issues such as i-69 and restore national doppler radar coverage for the region.
later, rideout joined alcoa as the communications and community affairs manager for the company’s warrick operations in newburgh, indiana, where she worked with plant and community leaders across the united states as well as europe, russia, china, and australia. she led the development of alcoa’s political action committee (pac), managed state government relations in 13 states, negotiated incentive packages to support investments in multiple states, and handled public policy initiatives on issues including recycling, transportation, infrastructure, and pensions. rideout’s career also includes directorships at holiday world and splashin’ safari and the university of evansville’s office of development.
rideout was the founding co-chair of the economic development coalition of southwest indiana where she continues to serve on the executive committee; a member of the board of directors of st. mary’s health; a member of the advisory committee for the women’s fund of warrick county; and a member of the government affairs society of indiana. rideout received the athena award in recognition of her professional excellence and community service; the university of evansville alumni association outstanding young alumna award; and the business leader of the year award from university of evansville delta sigma pi business fraternity.

ms. anita horn rizek graduated from the university of evansville with a bachelor of science in accounting. she earned a master of taxation from the george washington university, and a juris doctor from the american university washington college of law. in 1998, she was given the distinguished young alumnus award by the ue alumni association.
rizek is legislative counsel for the u.s. tax court. prior to this appointment, she was tax counsel for the u.s. senate committee on finance for senators moynihan and baucus, legislative director for senator harry reid, deputy chief of staff and senior policy advisor for the national commission on restructuring the irs, tax manager at the american institute of cpas, and senior tax professional at ernst and young.

dr. saltzman is a partner at tri-state orthopaedic surgeons specializing in sports medicine and joint replacement surgery. he grew up in bloomington, indiana, graduated from princeton university, and received his md from duke university school of medicine. he completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the university of vermont.
in addition to his private practice, he is a team physician for the university of evansville and has served on the board of directors of the university of evansville president’s club. dr. saltzman provides lectures and professional learning opportunities for students in the athletic training, physical therapy, and physician assistant departments.
in addition to his work with the university of evansville, he is a team physician for evansville area high schools and is a medical consultant to evansville vanderburgh school corporation. he has been a leader in concussion management for athletes and was one of the founders of the st. vincent sports concussion alliance. in 2012 he was honored as the indiana state medical association team physician of the year, and was named a health care hero that same year by the evansville courier and press. he is a member of the american academy of orthopaedic surgeons, and is a past president of the indiana orthopaedic society.

mr. alan w. braun is the retired chairman and president of industrial contractors, inc. industrial was listed in the engineering news record “top 400 contractors” from 1978 to 2011. in 2011, industrial was purchased by skanska. braun became chairman emeritus of ici skanska. he retired from skanska in 2017. from 2002-2005, braun was chairman of the ue board and provided exemplary leadership to the university’s national campaign steering committee, uenvision, which has exceeded or met all fundraising goals to date. he chaired the transforming lives, changing neighborhoods campaign for habitat for humanity.
braun is a director at old national bancorp and koch enterprises. he has served as chair of the deaconess hospital foundation and the deaconess service corporation. other accomplishments include chairing the united way of southwestern indiana campaign and serving as acting chairman of the junior achievement of southwest indiana. he is also a member of the evansville regional business committee and was selected for membership in the indiana academy, was inducted into the junior achievement business hall of fame, and received the buffalo trace council distinguished citizen award.

(ret.) john b. conaway graduated from the university of evansville with a bachelor of science in business administration. during his time at ue, he was a member of the reserve officer training corps (rotc) program. he earned a masters in management and human relations from webster college. in 1986, he was awarded an honorary doctor of laws from his alma mater.
conaway enjoyed a long and successful career in the united states air force and national guard where he over saw the entire national guard (army and air force) for the united states and its territories. he authored, call out the guard!, a book that tells the story of the modern day national guard. conaway is currently chairman and ceo of the conaway group, an affiliation of former military professionals who provide assistance and strategic guidance to federal executive agencies, corporations, and non-governmental organizational.
among his honors, conaway was enshrined into the kentucky aviation hall of fame and received the naacp meritorious service award. he has been awarded the distinguished service medal from the department of defense, the u.s. air force, and the u.s. army. conaway also received the robert w. crawford achievement prize from the national recreational foundation in recognition of his extensive work with youth at risk in the national guard youth challenge program.

mr. larry e. dunigan is a founder and president of holiday management foundation. in 1969, he and his father began holiday care center, which grew to include holiday retirement village and holiday professional building. in 2006, his son assumed responsibility for operation of those businesses. dunigan also founded one call communications, a long distance and operator services provider, which was sold; however, the internet data and equipment storage center portion of that business was retained. dunigan served as ceo until its sale in 2007.
dunigan is chairman of the board of directors of old national bancorp, where he also chairs the corporate governance and nominating committee. he has also served as a director of the st. louis federal reserve board-louisville branch and red spot paint and varnish.

major general (ret.) verna d. fairchild has earned the distinction of recording several firsts in the united states air force and air national guard history. she was the first member of the nursing corps to become a commander of an air national guard tactical hospital; the first air national guard assistant for nursing to the surgeon general of the air combat command; the first nurse and the first female to be appointed as assistant adjutant general for air in the air national guard history; and the first female appointed as an air national guard representative to the air reserve forces policy committee. fairchild’s last military assignment was as assistant to the director of the air national guard for base operational support readiness where she was responsible for assisting and advising the director on support readiness issues which impact air national guard. fairchild retired from military service in 2002.
fairchild earned a bachelor of science in nursing from the university of evansville and a master of art in public administration from kentucky state university.

while at iupui, mays taught and carried out a program of research and community service focused on health promotion and disease prevention for vulnerable adolescents. her projects were supported by foundations, industry, and state and federal health agencies, and her work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals. in 2003, she was elected to the american academy of nursing for her achievements in establishing community programs that served homeless youth and teen mothers.

dr. robert l. bowen is founder and chairman of bowen engineering corporation, a multi-market company specializing in water and wastewater treatment plants and energy utility construction. bowen earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from purdue university and completed the harvard business school’s owner, president, manager program. he is a founder and instructor of the associated general contractors project management institute. early in his career, he worked as a project manager at w.m. lyles construction company in california before returning to indiana to start his own company.
bowen and his wife generously support education and have built a legacy advancing education and the promotion of science. the bowen foundation was established to provide scholarships to minority students in indianapolis to pursue a secondary education. since the foundation’s inception, more than $3.0 million has been awarded to more than 800 students. the bowens and former purdue university president martin jischke founded science bound, a program designed to mentor student in the indianapolis public schools to encourage them to pursue careers in science and technical fields. participants of this program have an opportunity to earn a full-tuition scholarship to purdue university. the bowens also funded the robert l. and terry l. bowen high-scale performance civil engineering laboratory at purdue which allows civil engineering to test structures like bridges and buildings while focusing on making construction materials more durable, safer, and earthquake resistant. in addition, the bowens have provided financial resources for the bowen engineering laboratories at the university of evansville for use by the civil and mechanical engineering programs.

Completion of work ahead of deadlines is mandatory. In addition to his leadership duties, he provides expertise in traffic engineering and land use and transportation planning.
lochmueller is conversant in all aspects of transportation land use planning. he is familiar with the need for development concurrent with associated impacts on the natural and human environment, and can critically weighs issues of merit. issues may be geological, historical, archaeological, ecological or public concern issues, each of which is discussed and adequately covered under his guidance. he constantly keeps abreast of new information in planning via communication with authorities in the field and participating in courses from fhwa, umta, and universities in environmental analysis, traffic modeling, highway and transit planning, and traffic.
in 1981, lochmueller became interested in the concept of pavement asset management. in addition to working with indot to develop the first computerized inventory all of the state’s roads, he set out to develop a cost-effective system tailored to the specific needs of cities and counties that would help them make the most of taxpayer dollars.
prior to founding lochmueller group, lochmueller spent 6 years as the executive director of the evansville metropolitan planning organization. in this role, he was responsible for the 3c transportation process. under his direction, a transportation plan was developed and approved. he was recognized by fhwa as an innovator in the transportation system management area.
lochmueller also spent 14 years in responsible planning positions with the evansville-vanderburgh county area plan commission and the southwestern indiana regional council of governments, as well as serving as the chief transportation planner for the southwestern indiana regional council of governments.

mr. kenneth maikranz earned a bachelor of science in business administration from the university of evansville in 1970. he owns and operates colonial assisted living in vincennes, indiana, and henderson, kentucky. he’s a longtime member of the purple aces club and president’s club and was a top donor to the uenvision capital campaign. the walkway located on the west side of the fifth third practice facility is named “maikranz family walkway,” and the armory is named the “maikranz family indoor facility” in recognition of the various generous contributions made by the maikranz family.

dr. melvin m. peterson retired from chevron oil corporation, san francisco, california, in 1972 where he was a financial advisor. a native of omaha, nebraska, he served four years in the united states navy and earned a bachelor of science in business administration from the university of san francisco, a master of arts in english literature from the california state university, and a master of arts in history from indiana state university.
peterson was president of the university of evansville samuel johnson society, harlaxton society, and academy of arts and sciences. in 1991, the ue alumni association recognized him with a samuel orr honorary alumnus; in 2014, he was awarded honorary degree, doctor of humane letters. through generous gifts to the university, he established the melvin peterson endowed chair in literature and writing and the melvin peterson art gallery.
